Miguel is an International Business Development Specialist. Miguel was born in Guanajuato, Mexico in 1971. He has lived in different cities in Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Bolivia and is familiar with North American and Latin American business practices, which enables him to facilitate international trade for his customers. As part of his activities, Miguel has done marketing research and strategic planning in Canada, USA and Mexico for several companies. His work has always focused on helping companies to improve the company’s internationalization capabilities and in helping them develop and implement Internationalization plans.
Prior Miguel served as International Trade Supervisor. He was involved with customs regulations, logistics, import-export and purchasing functions, which enabled him to acquire a thorough knowledge on International Trade Operations in North America. As part of his consultancy activities, he developed export projects for companies like Nahuarra Knives and Swords, Esmir-Her Sport Apparel and La Escondida Avocado Farm.
Miguel holds a degree on International Trade by the Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), Campus Guadalajara. He also obtained a diploma on logistics by the Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO), as well as a diploma on Neurolinguistics Programming at the ITESM. Miguel is certified as a marketing coach by Successwise, from Australian marketing guru Allan Dib, in Lean Strategy Innovation by Purposelab and has a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from the Lean Six Sigma Institute.
