Remarketer meaning and role in international branding

A remarketer is a merchant or export agent who purchases goods and services directly from the producer, packing and marking the goods in line with his or her own specifications. Remarketers will then sell these goods and services abroad via their contacts in their own names and take over all risks.

This can be especially useful if a product is brought on a different market, that needs a different approach. E.g. any packaging with ‘Proudly grown and processed in the USA’ would not work so well in France, there a completely different branding may be much more successful.
