General Export License

A general export license authorizes exports without application by the exporter to the Office of Export Administration. Each general license is designated by a sign, such as GUS, GIFT, GLV, G–DEST, etc., each describes certain general licenses used for mail shipments. No official application or written approval is required to ship exports in a general export license.
