Export promotion is those public policy measures which truly improve exporting transaction at the industry, company or national level. Export promotion drives the international flow of goods and services and is one of the primary measures that governments utilize to sway the quantities and kinds of goods and services exported from their areas of jurisdiction.

Export promotion is as well an incentive program designed to draw more companies into exporting by providing assistance in the marketing and product identification and development, payment guaranty schemes, pre-shipment and post-shipment financing, trade visits, training, trade fairs, and foreign representation.
