Introduction At a certain point you may start noticing that a particular collaboration is not proceeding the way you would like it to. There doesn't need to be an outspoken conflict, but there is some annoyance. It is not quite clear to you where the problem is located, or how to go about solving it. But the collaboration is worthwhile, or you would anyway wish to bring it to a good conclusion.
Goal and result The goal of the conflict resolution toolkit is to help the alliance make the right transition. Of course, what needs to happen very much depends on the actual circumstances. The toolkit will provide you with a thorough analysis, after which we will assist you in taking the subsequent steps. This can result in improved relations, new activities, a modification of the contract, or perhaps a controlled termination of the collaboration.
Methods In addition to analysis techniques such as the pictured matrix with causes and effects of a problem, we also have a range of solution techniques. If this calls for a redesign of processes or of the agreement, we can use methods from other toolkits. If it is a matter of trust and relations, we can use organisation constellation and other techniques. If it is ‘only’ the market that is causing problems, we can draw on our own theory on competition strategy.

Procedure Through three interviews with involved parties on your side we shall analyse the collaboration and determine in what domain we should seek the solution: the market approach, the work processes, the relational component, or legal arrangements. Next, we work out a solution in five half-days with you and perhaps your partner as well. This can be in the form of conversations, workshops, elaborating a market plan, or implementing a procedure. Here Alliance experts will take a pragmatic approach.
The intake will generally be performed by a generalist. The person to guide the further solution process will depend on what the situation requires: someone with marketing knowledge, a good process supervisor, or a legal expert? If none of the Alliance experts partners is the appropriate person, then we shall work with a third party to provide the required expertise.
Price The costs of the interviews and half-days referred to are SGD 7000, VAT exclusive.
